About the work unit / facility

Workforce Governance and Planning is a strategic unit within People and Culture, Corporate Services.

The team leads governance assurance across establishment and people systems, supporting compliance, digital transformation, and workforce planning initiatives.

The unit works out of the JCU Clinical Practice Building in Douglas, Townsville.

Competitive salary and benefits

Remuneration is $121,360–$129,998 per annum (AO6).

Additional benefits include:

About your opportunity

This permanent full-time AO6 role (76 hours per fortnight) leads the governance of establishment and people systems, ensuring compliance, digital readiness, and strategic alignment across the Townsville HHS.

Your role will include managing establishment data in myHR, ensuring compliance through effective reporting and auditing, and coordinating Job Evaluation Management System (JEMS) processes. You will lead the governance of people systems, maintain current policies, and plan for future digital solutions in collaboration with leadership.

This position will have line management responsibility of 4 FTE.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, IR or related field (highly desirable)
  • Certification in Mercer Job Evaluation Management System (JEMS) (highly desirable)
  • Experience in governance, compliance, and HR systems
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced reporting and analytical capabilities
