Key responsibilities
In the role of Manager (Portfolio Control Mngmt) you will be responsible for the coordination of project planning working sessions with various stakeholders, to ensure the effective delivery of critical rail programs supporting the Department's 10- year rail strategy. You will provide high-level support to the Director (Delivery Portfolio Management Office) to contribute to the successful delivery of rail projects and investment program requirements.
Accountabilities include:
• Responsible for coordination all planning meetings and preparing all papers for issue resolution, briefing packs, and communications for Governance Forums and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure all formal communications between the Portfolio and various Programs and Projects are accurately tracked and logged to support effective change control across the Portfolio.
• Serve as the primary contact for clarifications and training on portfolio activities, while providing expert guidance on benefits management across the portfolio, program, and project life cycles to ensure effective planning, evaluation and reporting.
• Ensure all relevant Portfolio materials related to portfolio delivery are kept up to date to ensure the Rail PMO portal is updated and all stakeholders have access to the correct materials.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• It is a condition of employment for recommended appointee/s to disclose any previous serious discipline action taken against them for consideration by the delegate prior to any appointment.
Desirable
• Extensive program management experience preferably with large infrastructure programs.
