We are looking for support workers that are trained in:
- Trauma-informed and therapeutic care
- Child development and emotional regulation
- Positive behavioural support
- Safeguarding and mandatory reporting
- Inclusive communication strategies
About the Role
As a Support Worker in our Youth and Children's Services team, you'll be empowering children and young people with disability to build life skills, enjoy new experiences, and participate meaningfully in their communities.
You'll provide tailored support across a range of environments - at home, in the community, and during recreational programs - based on each individual's goals and needs.
Your Day Might Include:
Providing personal and emotional support to children and young people with disability
Assisting with daily routines, activities, and community engagement
Supporting clients to achieve their individual goals and developmental milestones
Working collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and educators
Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all children
What You'll Bring
A genuine passion for working with children and young people
Experience supporting individuals with disability (children preferred but not essential)
A trauma-informed, person-centred, and strength-based approach
Cert III or IV in Disability, Community Services, Youth Work, or related
Valid WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and First Aid/CPR certification
Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred for community access work)
