About Us

As Financial Controller, you’ll take full ownership of our client's finance function, leading budgeting, forecasting, compliance, payroll, and reporting. You’ll work directly with the Directors, Project Managers and your own team to ensure financial clarity across 100+ active ledgers, from national conferences to international associations.

This is both a strategic and operational role – ideal for someone who thrives on detail but also wants to shape the future of the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly P&L, balance sheets, and consolidated reports
• Oversee project and association accounting, finalising budget vs actual reports
• Lead budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and scenario planning
• Ensure compliance with GST, FBT, payroll tax, and super obligations
• Manage audits and liaise with external accountants
• Oversee payroll, AR/AP, and employee financial records
• Strengthen systems, controls, and financial processes

Your Profile

• CA/CPA qualified, with 5+ years in senior finance roles
• Strong background in management accounting, consolidation, and modelling
• Expertise in Australian tax, payroll, and compliance requirements
• Experience managing multi-entity ledgers and financial reporting
• Ability to lead a team and communicate across departments
