Capable and experienced maintenance fitter required for work with a bridge maintenance team working on the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

This role will involve undertaking a variety of trade related work tasks for general maintenance of the bridge and related road & rail structures. The key skillset of this role will be fitter machinist focussed for maintenance works rather than welding and fabrication duties.

You will carry out a variety of routine and repetitive physical tasks using hand and power tools. These tasks include, but not limited to, general fitting and some welding work for bridge maintenance jobs as well as fabrication of components; working either as an individual or as part of a team.

This role will involve working full time hours of work with regular weekly overtime. 6 months' work is being offered in the initial contract, with potential for further work beyond this time for good quality workers. A start of work ASAP is required.

Successful Applicants will need;

Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade

At least 12 months experience in maintenance fitting work, or equivalent experience in bridge maintenance & construction

Current WHS White Card - essential

Unrestricted Australian driver licence essential

Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)

Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card

Good all round fitness for manual work tasks

Previous experience with bridge construction / maintenance will be highly regarded
