Are you looking for a role where you can use your finance and payroll expertise while broadening your skills across finance operations? This opportunity will give you ownership of end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand while supporting the finance team across accounts receivable, accounts payable and wider financial processes.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, while also being the go-to person for employees with payroll and leave queries. This is a position where attention to detail and problem-solving make a real impact, and where you’ll enjoy variety in your day-to-day responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering end-to-end payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand, including terminations, pay increases, back pays, commissions, and reporting.
- Maintaining payroll records in line with legislation and providing accurate data to Government bodies and management.
- Acting as the first point of contact for all employees pay and leave queries.
- Processing invoices and credit notes, liaising directly with customers, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable, including supplier set-up and resolving queries.
- Providing leave cover across finance functions when needed and contributing to continuous improvement in processes.
About you:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in a finance and/or payroll role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, award interpretation and compliance.
- ERP system experience, ideally SAP, with intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.
