Client Acquisitions Officer
Are you passionate about building relationships and making a real impact in the automotive industry? MTA WA is looking for a dynamic and driven Client Acquisitions Officer to take the wheel in connecting businesses with the full suite of services we offer - from membership benefits and training programs to apprenticeship employment services.
About the Role
As Client Acquisitions Officer, you will be the face of MTA WA in the field, actively engaging with stakeholders across WA’s automotive sector.
Reporting to the General Manager of Apprentice Employment Services, you’ll play a key role in acquiring, retaining, and engaging the automotive industry, including MTA WA members, host employers and clients of the Association’s training services. Your focus will be to strengthen brand awareness, uncover client needs, and deliver tailored solutions that add genuine value to their business.
This hybrid, field-based role covers both metropolitan and regional areas, offering variety and the chance to build meaningful industry connections.
Key Responsibilities
Actively promote MTA WA’s full suite of services including membership, apprentice employment, and training opportunities.
Drive new business through targeted acquisition strategies across the automotive sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with MTA WA members, host employers, and prospective clients.
Conduct regular site visits to foster engagement and ensure ongoing collaboration and satisfaction.
Attend industry events, expos, and forums as a representative of MTA WA.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless referral and onboarding process.
Maintain a current understanding of automotive industry challenges, workforce needs, training requirements, and regulatory changes.
Record and track interactions using CRM systems and contribute to reporting and insights.
Essential Criteria
Experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, or client relationship management.
Understanding of the automotive industry and workforce needs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a solution-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently, plan your own schedule, and manage a mobile workload.
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Willingness to travel throughout WA, including regional areas.
Desirable Criteria
Background in an automotive-related role.
Familiarity with vocational education, apprenticeships, or Group Training Organisations.
Experience using CRM systems and data-driven engagement reporting.
Licences
A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence is essential.
