As our business grows, we are seeking Fabrication Operators to join our Manufacturing Operations in Port Melbourne on day, afternoon and night shifts on a full-time permanent basis. No previous experience is required, just a willingness to develop that will see you learn advanced manufacturing techniques in our world class facilities.
The components you will fabricate will be assembled to form part of the iconic Boeing aircrafts including the 737, 777 and 787 Dreamliner.

We will train you in the following:
Production of aircraft components following work order specifications using carbon fibre fabric
Understand and apply company quality assurance standards
Maintain housekeeping standards within the workplace
Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business
Ensure you work safely and exhibit the behaviour of a safety leader as part of our Incident & Injury Free culture
We have a three-shift operation:
Day Shift: 6am – 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm – 11pm (15% Salary loading)
Night Shift: 10pm – 6:30am (30% Salary loading)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Reliable and willingness to undertake shift work is essential
Any previous experience using automated machinery is desirable
Any previous experience in a quality control environment preferred
A willingness to learn and develop your skills
Literacy and numeracy skills to enable you to follow and interpret work instructions
Capable of hand forming carbon fibre fabric into aircraft structural parts
Ability to work independently or part of a diverse team towards a common goal and to agreed deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Assertive, self-motivated and capable of working with initiative
Comfortable working with your hands and standing for long periods of time
Willing to complete hands on, physical and repetitive work
Commitment to OHS procedures
Basic computer skills

Additional Information:
This is an EBA position classified as an Aerospace Worker 1. Starting salary: $78,805 + 12% Super and will increase to $85,967 + 12% Super upon successful completion of training. Candidates will be required to complete background checks and successfully complete a 3-month probationary period.
