We are recruiting a proactive and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Cowra. This is a hands-on role focused on the maintenance and continuous improvement of plant machinery to ensure reliable and safe production operations.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and safety regulations.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
• Collaborating with contractors and internal teams to maintain operational continuity.
• Managing tools, spare parts inventory and job documentation.
• Fabricating and assembling parts using precision tools.
• Communicating effectively with the Maintenance Coordinator to plan work schedules and equipment servicing.

Your Profile

Essential:

• Certified Mechanical Fitter or Machinist trade qualification.
• Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Good computing ability for report writing and inventory tracking.

Annual Leave: 18 days per annum
