The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team based at our Bombala timber mill.

In this position you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all maintenance requirements of the timber mill including but not limited to project work, scheduled and unscheduled breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting.

To be successful in this role you will:

Be a qualified and experienced tradesman

Have experience in machine troubleshooting/problem-solving and fault finding

Have experience in preventative maintenance

Be able to demonstrate experience in the maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

Have experience working in a timber mill or manufacturing facility (an advantage)

Hold an Automotive Mechanical trade qualification (an advantage)

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Possess the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team

This is a full-time permanent position. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
