We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Wildlife Services – Area Leader oversee field operations across South-East Queensland. If you’re a skilled wildlife specialist with strong leadership capabilities and a drive to make a real difference, this is your opportunity to lead impactful conservation work in a purpose-driven team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Area Leader, you’ll manage and mentor Wildlife supervisors and field team members, ensuring high-quality, safe and timely delivery of services such as fauna spotter catching, vertebrate pest management, and native wildlife conservation. You’ll coordinate resources, uphold compliance standards, and work closely with Project Managers to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and ecosystems.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead and develop a high-performing field team
Oversee daily operations, resource planning, and equipment management
Champion WHS and quality compliance across all field activities
Support project delivery and client relationships
Conduct fieldwork including pest management, fauna spotter catching, nest box installation and other wildlife conservation works
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
7+ years in fauna management in Australia
Certificate level training in ecosystem management, pest management or equivalent ‘in the field’ experience
Advanced level knowledge of native and pest fauna in Australia including identification, capture, dispersal, relocation, and euthanasia practices
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Relevant licences / certifications (e.g. venomous snake handling, firearms, 4WD operation)
Passion for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration
