Our client is a national body that was established by government and works collaboratively with a diverse range of industry groups, to find solutions to the workforce challenges in key industry sectors.
The organization seeks to hire a practical, hands-on, solution focussed Shared Services leader who can ensure robust, seamless, best practice support services across key business functions, including IT, facilities management, risk governance, and business support.
This is a pivotal role suited to a proactive professional who thrives on accountability, continuous improvement, relationship building and managing external providers to the highest service standards.
Key components of the role will include:
- Overseeing shared services operations across IT, facilities, risk, and business support;
- Managing all external vendors and contractors to ensure service quality excellent, value for money and full compliance with SLAs;
- Initiating process and automation initiatives to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, leverage technology and evolve as the organization matures;
- Ensuring business continuity, compliance & governance frameworks and reporting is updated;
- Resolving issues with urgency, accountability and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a small team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for?
A practical, execution-focused leader who is commercially savvy, has a strong appreciation for compliance and governance, and
- Proven experience leading shared services and/or operational support functions.
- Strong track record of managing third-party vendors and contracts effectively.
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to streamline processes and implement best practices.
- Demonstrated success in risk management, compliance, and escalation handling.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A hands-on leadership style that promotes accountability and team capability.
