Life in Byron is a vibrant and bustling accommodation facility located in the heart of Byron Bay, known for its world-class surfing spots and laid-back atmosphere. Life in Byron is a co-living accommodation hub that caters to longer term accommodation for students, digital nomads, and travellers and shorter stays for those just passing through.

About you:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Hostel Manager to manage Life in Byron. If you have a can-do attitude, work well under pressure, have a love for customer service, an eye for detail and the ability to create a welcoming and fun environment for our guests, we want to hear from you!

Proven experience in hospitality and/ or the travel industry a must! We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, proactive and an innovative and creative mindset.

About the role:

Guest Services

Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.

Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.

Ability to handle difficult situations with guests.

Operations Management:

Oversee daily operations, including enquiries, housekeeping, and maintenance.

Manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards.

Lead the cleaning staff to ensure that the grounds, rooms, and facilities are kept to a high standard.

Foster strong partner relationships and cultivate new connections.

Financial Management:

Monitor expenses and optimise cost-efficiency.

Implement and manage pricing strategies to maximise occupancy and revenue.

Marketing and Promotion:

Develop and execute marketing plans to attract new guests.

Manage social media channels and online presence.

Build relationships with local businesses and tourism partners.

Requirements

Fluent English (Other languages are a bonus!)

Legal right to work in Australia

Experience with Cloudbeds or similar reservation systems.

Travel and hospitality experience

Flexibility is essential
