Position Purpose

This role will have a direct impact on driving the service and product standards of the business. Develop and nurture the talent of the team of Chefs and Kitchen Assistants and bring increased focus to performance, consistency and adherence to high standards as the business continues to grow.

As Chef (Savoury Section) you will be responsible for the dine-in and takeaway menu of our savoury offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure consistency of the Tuga savoury menu and execution of menu items.

Expansion of the savoury offering - Developing new recipes as required.

Passion for product. Support the extraordinary team of chefs and guarantee you and your teams have a detailed knowledge of the product.

Ensure food quality, recipe consistency and service is to the highest standard.

Ensure operational standards are met in terms of stock management, cleaning, hygiene, repair and maintenance schedule.

Knowledge and Experience

Have previous experience in a similar leadership role as a Chef

Ideally Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure

Exceptional time management and a great eye for detail and quality control, understanding of HACCP controls and requirements

Ability to work a flexible rotating roster including early mornings/ weekends if needed
