The role
Working in this newly created role as our Project Officer provides you with a fantastic opportunity to support critical and innovative projects that impact the whole School.
Reporting to the Risk & Business Improvement Manager, the Project Officer plays a key role in overseeing and managing the workflow of a range of projects being undertaken at any given time. The focus of this fixed term opportunity is to lead the School's focus on digital transformation across ICT platforms and the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority accreditation process which will be undertaken in early 2026.
In order to thrive in this position and be successful in meeting the key result areas, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in successfully planning and delivering large projects within a complex environment covering scope, scheduling, delivery and budgeting.
- Experience leading and directing teams of internal staff and/or external contractors in order to successful delivery projects on time and budget.
- Experience in successfully engaging and influencing senior management and other groups of stakeholders, with the ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams to meet project deliverables.
- Experience and certification in formal project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMP, and Agile Project Management.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider Corporate Services team.
- Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs and requirements of the position.
A current Working with Children Check clearance and National Criminal Record check is essential for this position. Should you not have these, you would be expected to apply for them if you were successful in securing the position.
Note: this role works during term time and 5 (five) weeks during the term breaks. The position will be offered on a full time, fixed term basis for one year.
