Electrician – Renewable Energy Projects

About the Role

Metta Energy is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing team. This role will be dynamic and diverse, covering a broad range of renewable energy projects – from Residential to large complex solar and battery storage systems.

You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality projects, working across electrical, mechanical, civil, and renewable energy installations. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of renewable energy and other electrical projects.

Work across small, medium, and large-scale solar PV, battery storage, and microgrid systems.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

Ensure all works comply with OHS, quality, and environmental standards.

Support site teams and subcontractors to deliver projects safely and on time.

Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to project reporting.

Work away from home on regional projects.

Skills & Experience

A-Grade Electrical Licence (required).

Accreditation – Solar & Battery Design and Install (required).

Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Proficient computer skills (MS Office, digital tools, and project platforms).

Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and project requirements.

Current driver’s licence.
