Specialising in the design, installation and service/maintenance in every HVAC sector, this organisation has a renowned reputation for delivering large-scale projects across various sectors. We are now diversifying and looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician to complement our installation team.

Qualifications & experience

Cert IV Electronics and Communications, or related discipline (desirable)

Electrical or other studies with proving analytical skills.

Minimum of 3 years' industry experience

Technical knowledge of mechanical-electrical systems

Current valid Australian driver's license

Current White Card

Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Focus on delivering high-quality work within budget and on time

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards

Assist Electrical Engineers in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear and cabling and motor control systems

Collect and analyse data through tests and complex calculations, graphing results and preparing comprehensive charts and tabulations to support project objectives

Conduct material cost quantity estimations to facilitate budget planning and resource allocation

Inspect designs and completed projects to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards, maintaining high quality and safety.

Undertake electrical workshop functions such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and indicating devices.

Assist with research and experimentation programs to drive innovation and improve project outcomes
