The Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President drives the strategic direction of the University, providing leadership, oversight and advice on governance, planning, communication and stakeholder engagement. The Office supports the Vice-Chancellor in delivering on CQUniversity’s priorities, while also coordinating major initiatives, reporting and high-level events.
As the Senior Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Vice-Chancellor and Chief of Staff, contributing to the effective operation and influence of the Office. You will lead and coordinate strategic projects, governance reporting, and executive communications, while managing operational functions and supporting divisional strategies.
We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled professional with extensive executive-level experience, proven expertise in strategic communications, and the ability to manage complex projects with discretion and judgement. Your leadership will ensure the smooth operation of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, while making a meaningful impact on the success of the University.

Position Requirements
Postgraduate qualifications with extensive executive or management experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and expertise.
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic communications, engaging diverse audiences with clarity and impact.
Highly developed written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare reports, proposals and briefings for executive and governance audiences.
Proven capacity to lead projects, analyse complex information (including financial data) and provide evidence-based recommendations.
Strong judgement, discretion and initiative, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced executive environment.
