About the role

The purpose of the Social Media and Campaigns Officer is to deliver engaging and educational social media content and campaign activities for the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, in line with the organisation’s strategic objectives and branding.

Please note: This is a 12 month contract

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Research, develop and publish engaging social media content aligned with the NHVR social media strategy.
  • Provide best-practice community management on the NHVR’s social media channels – by responding to comments and direct messages with accurate, timely and customer-focused information.
  • Monitor media and social media platforms to identify issues and trends, and report on activity to improve performance and inform the organisation.
  • Support the Manager Campaigns in developing and executing road safety campaigns including creative concepting, production, media placements and reporting.

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, media, advertising, communication or related field
  • Three to five years experience in social media, marketing or similar field
  • Experience working with social media management tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Falcon, Hootsuite)
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Photoshop
  • Demonstrated experience in developing creative and informative content for social media – Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and TikTok
  • Demonstrated experience in social media community management – preferably for a large or complex organisation or agency-side
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and running social media campaigns through Ads Manager
  • Ability to source and transform complex information into engaging and fit-for-purpose content in line with style
  • Demonstrated strong written communications skills in a range of formats (e.g. web content, news articles, reports, internal communication)
