Queensland Treasury's Queensland Government Insurance Fund (QGIF) is seeking a motivated and skilled Principal Training Officer (AO7) to join our team. QGIF is a self-insurance scheme that plays a pivotal role in managing Government risks and ensuring adequate provisions for liabilities. As the Principal Training Officer, you will develop and deliver blended learning programs for the organisation, targeted at lifting internal capability to meet current and future business needs with a focus on creating an innovative culture. You will lead continuous learning within a legislative environment as you design, develop, procure, and deliver L&D solutions for individual, group, and enterprise application.
In this role, you will:
• Engage as a collaborative and productive team member to plan, develop, deliver, review, and maintain a diverse range of training resources, projects and programs in line with organisational strategies.
• Lead L&D consultations including training needs analysis, training plans, budget consideration and varied report production for provision of expert advice to internal clients and management.
• Support internal stakeholders in developing, coaching, and mentoring their staff.
• Manage collection, analysis, and application of data to evaluate training solutions and implement continuous improvement and innovation.
• Lead the development of a workforce plan, aligning with the strategic goals of QGIF.
• Establish, enhance and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting change management.
• Support QGIF's L&D framework, including policy and procedure development and review.
• Complete administrative training activities including information management, audits and reviews, financial reporting, activity reporting and project management.
What experience you will bring:
• Substantial experience in a training environment.
• Experience in the development and delivery of training packages to upskill employees and address knowledge gaps.
• Highly developed communication skills.
• Intermediate skill using the Microsoft Office suite (required), e-learning platforms (required), Adobe suite (desirable), and Microsoft power platform (desirable).
