About the role

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team at GLW Freight Management Pty Ltd in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. This is a full-time FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) role, offering a unique opportunity to work in the dynamic construction industry. As a Loader Operator, you will play a crucial part in our operations, ensuring efficient and safe material handling on-site.

What you'll be doing

Operate a variety of construction equipment, such as front-end loaders, to load and unload materials

Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment

Adhere to all health, safety and environmental protocols to ensure a safe work environment

Collaborate with the broader construction team to support project timelines and deadlines

Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance, and material movements

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Loader Operator in the construction industry

Relevant qualifications or licences, such as a Front-End Loader Operator's Certificate

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks

Willingness to work in a FIFO environment and adapt to changing work schedules
