The Company

Our client is a Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Mine Services company that has been operating for over 5 years in the Western Australian mining sector. Due to substantial growth, our client is seeking an experienced Water Cart Operator to join their highly experienced site team to work on a 5:2 roster, FIFO ex Darwin or Kununurra.

Roster

5 days on, 2 days off - FIFO ex Darwin or Kununurra

Dayshift Only

11.5 hour working day

The Role

Working in our the Kununurra region, you will be responsible for maintaining mining and haul access roads for the client at a remote site in the NT. The role will be operating a 6-wheel Isuzu Water Cart.

The Candidate

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable Water Truck Operator with experience operating Water Trucks or Carts. In addition, it is essential that the Water Truck Operator has an automatic HR Licence.

Essential Criteria:

Previous Experience operating a Water Cart

Previous experience in the Mining, Civil or Construction Industry (preferred)

Previous FIFO experience (preferred)

Must have a valid Australian Automatic HR Class Drivers Licence

Ability to pass ongoing Drug & Alcohol Screens

Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical

Additional Criteria:

Must take pride in maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the Water Cart

Consistent, long term work history

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Identify and report any maintenance issues promptly

Have a strong work ethic where you are reliable and considered a hard worker

Be willing to assist with adhoc job requirements that may arise

Safety conscious with the ability to work unsupervised

Must be able to complete Company & Client Inductions

Remuneration

This role will be initially on a temporary basis where after 3 to 6 months the successful candidate has the potential to be signed onto our clients’ books as a full time / permanent employee.

Depending on experience the pay rates will be between:

Casual Pay Rate: $42.00 to $45.00 Per Hour + Super on all hours
