The role

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team at GLW Freight Management Pty Ltd in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. This full-time position is crucial to the success of our construction projects, where you will operate heavy machinery and equipment to complete essential tasks with precision and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating and maintaining excavators and other heavy construction equipment

Performing a variety of excavation tasks such as benching, and site preparation, loading Moxy Dump trucks

Ensuring the efficient and timely completion of construction projects

Following all safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself, your team, and the worksite

Conducting regular maintenance and servicing of assigned equipment

Collaborating with the wider construction team to deliver high-quality results

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry

Comprehensive understanding of excavator operations and maintenance

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Current heavy vehicle driver's licence and relevant plant operation certification
