Role Overview
The Production Technician plays a crucial role in assembling and testing components and systems to specification, ensuring that quality, safety, and performance standards are consistently met. This position supports efficient production flow while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components and systems accurately using engineering principles and technical documentation.
- Conduct functional and quality tests to confirm compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Identify and report non-conformances, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of build data, test results, and any deviations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and resolve issues.
- Uphold 5S principles and support a LEAN manufacturing environment for improved efficiency.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments, ensuring a safe work environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety in production. The following qualifications and attributes are essential:
- Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical).
- Proven knowledge of mechanical drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
- 5-10 years of experience in high-precision mechanical assembly and testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- High attention to detail and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
