A prominent design studio in Sydney is seeking a Procurement & Purchasing Officer to join their collaborative team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a creative, fast-paced environment where supplier relationships are key to delivering exceptional design outcomes. You’ll be instrumental in managing procurement processes, supporting finance operations, and ensuring smooth coordination across projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement and purchasing activities across a diverse range of design projects

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and value

• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and process FF&E invoices

• Manage accounts payable functions, including reconciliation and reporting

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to meet project timelines

• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with internal procedures

• Support project teams with sourcing needs and contribute to efficient project delivery

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within design, architecture, or creative industries

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on relationship-building

• Familiarity with FF&E invoicing and accounts payable processes

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite
