Parks & Environment Coordinator
Duration: Immediate - 31 October 2025 with possible extension
Salary: $57.00 - $62.00 p/h
Hours of Work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Como

The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and lead operational teams to maintain, protect and enhance the City’s unique and recognisable character.

Duties:

• Manage 2 – 4 direct reports, as well as oversight for between 14 – 22 employees across a number of teams at any one time
• People management support and technical expertise to the Parks & Environment teams
• Co-ordinate and lead operational teams to maintain, protect and enhance the City’s unique and recognisable character

Requirements:

• Immediate availability
• Australian work rights
• Minimum 3 years people management / supervisory experience, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead operational teams
• Technical experience and understanding of Parks & Environment operational objectives, activities and works to be completed, including within Streetscapes, Nursery, Natural Areas, Parks and Reticulation
• High level of customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to project manage within assigned budgets
