Project Draftsperson – Temp to Perm Opportunity
Location: Murarrie, QLD
Hours: 38.5 hrs/week – Mon–Thu (6:30 am–3:00 pm), Fri (6:30 am–1:00 pm)
Pay Rates:

• Casual: $43–$50/hr + super
• Permanent: $35–$40/hr + super (depending on experience)

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated Project Draftsperson to join a well-established manufacturing, machining & fabrication business in Murarrie. Starting as a casual role, this position offers the chance to transition to a permanent placement after 4–6 months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with CAD skills who enjoys turning concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions, while working closely with engineering and production teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating accurate 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Preparing detailed part and assembly drawings for fabrication and machining
• Updating and revising existing drawings based on feedback or design changes
• Collaborating with engineering and production to ensure designs are manufacturable
• Maintaining drawing databases and document control systems

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or equivalent) preferred
• Trade background highly regarded
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials (sheet metal, machining, fabrication, etc.)
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
