Building Designer / Draftsperson – Flexible Hours, Sunshine Coast

We’re a small, passionate residential building design studio on the Sunshine Coast seeking a Building Designer / Draftsperson to join our team. This role offers flexible hours, hybrid work (office + home), and the chance to work on rewarding residential projects.

About the Role

Part-time or casual, 8–24 hours/week (1–4 days).

Work on residential projects from concept through to approvals.

Flexible office hours + hybrid work.

Mentoring and professional development provided.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the design team to produce accurate and detailed working drawings for residential projects using Revit.

Liaise with clients and consultants.

Ensure all documentation complies with building codes, standards, and local planning schemes.

Manage projects through all stages of the design and approval process.

Maintain and update Revit templates, families, and systems for efficient workflows.

About You

Experienced in residential building design/drafting or a recent graduate with a Diploma of Building Design.

Proficient in Revit (AutoCAD and D5 Render a bonus).

Solid understanding of residential construction, building codes, standards, and local planning schemes.

Professional, friendly communicator.
