An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Contract Administrator to join a dynamic and fast-paced construction team in Brisbane. Specialising in retail fit-out projects across Queensland, including supermarkets and major retail chains, the role offers hands-on exposure to all facets of project delivery, working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and subcontractors.

This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who's eager to learn, grow, and contribute to high-profile projects in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and administration of contracts, purchase orders, and subcontracts.

Support the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting tasks.

Track project costs, variations, and progress claims to ensure alignment with budget forecasts.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotes, issue documentation, and coordinate site deliveries.

Maintain project documentation and registers.

Assist in preparing progress reports and forecasting documentation.

Ensure compliance with project timelines, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Attend site meetings and contribute to the day-to-day coordination between stakeholders.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or currently completing).

1-2 years of experience in a Contract Administrator or Project Coordinator role (internship or graduate-level experience accepted). Strong administration background will also be considered for this role.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Good communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships.

Basic understanding of construction drawings, scopes of work, and procurement processes.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Procore or similar platforms is advantageous.
