Our client is a growing wealth creation and financial services business, dedicated to helping Australians take control of their financial future. With a strong client base and a team of Discovery Consultants already in place, they are now seeking a motivated Team Leader to guide, support, and lift performance across the function.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for driving results, supporting client retention, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Discovery Consultant team. You’ll coach consultants to improve conversion rates, maintain motivation, and ensure processes are efficient and effective. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll engage directly with clients when required while also keeping a sharp focus on team performance and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and motivate a team of Discovery Consultants to meet and exceed targets
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, reviewing client conversations and qualification standards
- Foster a high-performance, supportive team culture that aligns with company values
- Monitor daily KPIs including session volumes, conversion rates, and client satisfaction
- Review CRM activity to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping
- Provide weekly performance reporting to senior management, highlighting trends and improvement areas
- Ensure consultants follow the structured Discovery process and maintain compliance with financial services guidelines
- Collaborate with training teams to develop onboarding and upskilling programs
- Identify workflow improvements to optimise client engagement and conversion rates
- Liaise with Senior Strategists, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless client handovers and effective feedback loops
- Share insights from client conversations to help shape marketing campaigns and lead generation strategies
About You
We’re looking for a leader who combines strong people management skills with a commercial mindset. You’ll be motivated by results, proactive in driving performance, and committed to ensuring clients receive a positive experience.
- Previous experience leading or coaching a sales or consulting team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence
- A proven ability to analyse performance and implement strategies for improvement
- Organised, proactive, and adaptable, with high attention to detail
- Experience within financial services or a client-facing environment is an advantage.
