About the Role:
Are you a Mechanic or Fitter tired of the FIFO grind and looking for a more stable and rewarding opportunity? This role offers the ideal balance, blending workshop-based tasks at our Pinkenba location with scheduled onsite servicing and call-outs to maintain and repair customer equipment. Here, you’ll be treated as a valued individual, not just a number. With training on industry-leading products like Graco pumps and abrasive blasting equipment, this is a fantastic chance to grow your skills and build a fulfilling career.
General working Hours: Monday - Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm) Overtime is available if required.
Your Responsibilities:
Repair and service spray/blasting equipment, including paint spray systems, sandblasting gear, fluid pumps, dust collectors, and mechanical handling equipment.
Conduct repairs on fluid, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Maintain and organize the workshop to ensure smooth operations.
Assemble and commission new equipment, ensuring proper functionality and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on job progress.
Prepare accurate service reports for all jobs and projects.
About You:
Background as a Mechanic, Fitter, or in a similar trade role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience with fluid, pneumatic, or mechanical equipment is a bonus (training provided).
Reliable, self-motivated, and organized, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
