Motor Mechanic (General)

Salary: $99,450 – $143,650 p.a. + super

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on light and heavy vehicles

Overhaul and recondition engines, transmissions, and major components

Inspect and replace defective engine components, ensuring correct parts are being repaired

Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify faults

Provide roadside breakdown support as part of a shared roster

Maintain detailed job records, follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols

Carry out vehicle road worthy inspection (authorised inspector)

Requirements:

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive mechanical repair

Strong problem-solving skills and diagnostic capability

Experience using diagnostic scan tools and workshop management systems

Physically fit and prepared to work in a remote environment

Willing to assist in all areas of workshop operation, including roadside call-outs
