The Role
The role is responsible for diagnosis, repairs, servicing, maintenance and up-keep of all motorised small equipment, combustion engines and mowers. Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be integral in promoting the professionalism of our business and the service output.
The Responsibilities
• All levels of maintenance and servicing of mowers, spray equipment, trailers and small motorised equipment
• Complete mechanical and basic electrical diagnosis, troubleshooting and repairs in workshop or in the field
• Assist in parts ordering and inventory
• Record keeping and reporting
• Management of own work load
• Work independently
• Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work
The Person
- Cert III in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent (10+ years experience)
- Experience in agricultural equipment, tractors and light vehicles will be highly advantageous
- Experience with basic electrical components & fuel systems
- Valid Driver's Licence (HR Licence is an advantage)
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic welding & fabrication skills
- Forklift ticket is advantageous
- Good mechanical problem diagnostic skills.
- Methodical thinking and an enquiring mind to consider and assess issues and possibilities.
- Proven ability to plan, conduct and review all maintenance activities.
- Decision making ability, dexterity and sufficient stamina and physical flexibility to perform tasks.
- Sound knowledge of the machinery requirements in the company fleet.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A positive National Police Security Check Report
The successful candidate should hold a formal qualification in relevant trade related or demonstrate relevant previous experience in a hands-on role.
