ABOUT THE COMPANY.
This reputable Local Council is located in Sydney’s Inner Wester and is actively seeking a highly motivated Community Development Officer, with Local Council or Government experience. Become a part of their collaborative team, where you can make a meaningful impact on community development.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Supports the delivery of community programs and events, with a focus on youth and multicultural engagement. Work with local groups to ensure programs run smoothly and meet community needs. Experience in local government or the community sector preferred.
DUTIES.
- Coordinated multicultural, in-house programs to meet diverse community needs
- Facilitated youth activities, including coding and school holiday programs
- Managed admin and logistics for program delivery and events
- Engaged multicultural networks to strengthen community ties
- Executed pre-planned programs with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Experience in Local Government or the Public Sector is necessary
- Collaborates with local groups, artists, and stakeholders
- Assists with planning, promotion, and delivery of community events
- Sensitive to different backgrounds and community needs
