About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our newly formed engineering team and take on projects and initiatives both collaboratively and independently. This is a rare opportunity to shape the technical direction of a fast-moving company from the ground up.
You’ll work on a mix of internal tools that drive efficiency across departments, and public-facing applications in the wealth management space. Every day is different, so expect to solve real problems, explore emerging technologies, and ship things that matter.

What you’ll be doing
This role is focused on:

Writing robust backend and frontend code with unit and feature tests

Tackling real-world problems, leading initiatives from discovery through to delivery, and owning the technical architecture and execution

Balancing trade-offs between ideal architecture and shipping fast, making pragmatic decisions

Clearly communicating project status to stakeholders through written and/or verbal updates

Writing excellent technical documentation when needed, communicating ideas and problems effectively

Conducting technical spikes to validate new approaches and identify limitations or bottlenecks early

Monitoring post-launch metrics using tools like DataDog, and triaging or resolving bugs quickly

Enabling other team members through reusable libraries or shared internal tools

You’re probably a match if

You have 2–5 years of professional experience as a software engineer

You have strong computer science fundamentals and programming knowledge relating to data structures and algorithms, a formal degree is advantageous but not strictly necessary

You have a solid grasp of web application architecture and how the internet works under the hood

You can write clean, maintainable code in Python, JavaScript/React and/or Laravel PHP (or other comparable frameworks)

You have meaningful experience building, consuming and documenting APIs

You’re curious and resourceful when learning new technologies or debugging tricky issues, you don’t need to be told what to do but you know the right time to ask for help

You are a strong communicator
