Gough Recruitment QLD
Posted 4 days ago
Are you ready to leave a tangible mark on Perth's urban landscape? We're recruiting for an ambitious Assistant Development Manager on behalf of a leading national property developer—a respected industry leader with a reputation for transforming communities and creating award-winning spaces in every state.
About the Company
Our client is renowned for creating inspirational living environments and dynamic mixed-use precincts throughout Australia. With an impressive portfolio across residential, commercial, and community-focused developments, their projects champion quality, long-term vision, and meaningful placemaking. You'll be joining a team focussed on land development and where "people development" is as important as project delivery—and your growth is actively nurtured alongside the neighbourhoods you help to create.
The Role
Step into a dynamic position where you'll be involved across the full development lifecycle: from masterplanning and approvals through to project handover and activation. You'll champion market research, wrangle with authorities on planning and rezoning, coordinate consultants and contractors, and help ensure commercial, environmental, and social objectives are achieved.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project planning and market research to inform product mix and optimise design.
- Navigating approvals, development applications, and permit processes with tenacity.
- Managing consultancy appointments, coordinating weekly works meetings, and facilitating clear, effective communication across departments.
- Value engineering designs, awarding contracts, supervising contractors, and driving on-site works to maintain quality and budget.
- Supporting marketing strategies, guiding sales contracts and covenants, and assisting with product releases and settlements.
- Keeping projects on track—financial reporting, budget management, and feasibility analysis are your bread and butter.
- Cultivating relationships with key players: staff, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant tertiary qualifications—Property, Engineering, Town Planning, Valuations, Finance, or similar.
- Ideally, relevant property development experience, including exposure to project management and planning approvals.
- Exceptional communicator, able to produce punchy reports, negotiate with flair, and facilitate meetings that inspire action.
- Financially savvy with proven skills in budget management and feasibility modelling.
- Organised, results-driven, and naturally curious—you spot issues before they arise and welcome a challenge.
- Relationship builder with a personable, entrepreneurial approach and high ethical standards.
Why Apply?
This is your chance to play a hands-on role at the heart of a nationally recognised developer's Perth team. Enjoy a supportive, growth-focused culture, diverse projects, and daily collaboration with some of the sector's best minds.
Ready to accelerate your property development career and get invovled with projects that matter?
