ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive sales growth across Queensland from their Brisbane-based branch in Eagle Farm. This is a senior-level individual contributor role focused on expanding strategic accounts, acquiring new business, and increasing market share across key industrial sectors such as mining, infrastructure, engineering, and construction. You will work closely with the National Sales Manager and internal operations teams to develop and implement targeted growth strategies, pursue large-scale project opportunities, and position the company for long-term success in the Queensland market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver and exceed Queensland sales targets through new business acquisition and strategic account expansion
  • Identify and pursue new industry sectors, projects, and key accounts across mining, construction, marine, and heavy industry
  • Engage directly with high-value clients and project stakeholders to secure long-term, profitable business
  • Contribute to tender submissions, pricing models, and margin optimisation initiatives
  • Collaborate with branch operations to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM tools for forecasting and reporting
  • Provide regular sales performance updates and market feedback to national leadership
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings throughout Queensland

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We’re looking for a high-performing, commercially-minded sales professional with deep experience in industrial B2B environments. You’re self-driven, strategic, and comfortable selling into trade and industrial sectors across Queensland.

You will ideally bring:

  • Proven success in B2B (business to business) sales
  • Experience selling industrial equipment, consumables, or surface preparation products such as abrasives, welding gear, tools, coatings, or rigging
  • Strong technical aptitude of pumping systems, pneumatics etc..– a trade background (e.g., Fitter, Mechanic) is advantageous but not essential
  • Solid understanding of CRM platforms and a structured approach to reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to build trust with both new and existing customers
