Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives – and having a laugh while you do it? We’re on the hunt for amazing Disability Support Workers to join our fast-growing team at our brand-new Cardiff Hub and our Boolaroo Respite Home.
About Us
At The Happy Human Hub, we’re not your typical disability service. Our team is all about creating an inspiring, positive space filled with good energy – a place where participants (and staff!) genuinely love to hang out.
We believe support should be meaningful and fun. From games, creative projects, and social events to skill-building and learning opportunities, every day at the Hub is designed to help our participants thrive, connect, and reach their goals without even realising they’re learning!
Our services include: Individual & Group Day Supports
Personal Care Programs
After-school & school holiday programs full of fun
Community outings & special events
The legendary Hub Crawl – our 18+ social night every Thursday Saturday Social days
STA (Short Term Accommodation) Respite
We proudly support children from age 7 through to young adults with diverse abilities, neurodiversity, and complex needs. Whether it’s 1:1, 2:1, or group support, our goal is the same: creating joy, independence, and connection.
Who We’re Looking For
We want reliable, creative, caring, and outside-the-box thinkers who are passionate about disability support and love helping others shine. If you’re the type of person who can mix compassion, and dedication, with a great sense of humour – you’ll fit right in!
Essential Criteria:
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or Cert IV in Disability
Previous experience in Disability Support, Children’s Services, or similar
Current First Aid Certificate
Working with Children Check
National Criminal History Check
COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
Your own registered, comprehensively insured vehicle (and willingness to transport participants)
And of course… a great sense of humour! 😄
What We Offer You
SCHADS Award pay (based on your experience)
$0.99 per km allowance when transporting participants Uniform provided
