About The Role
We are seeking committed and resilient Disability Support Workers to provide 2:1 support for a young female participant living in a fully modified home tailored for complex support needs.
This role involves working closely with another experienced staff member, providing person-centered, consistent care in a structured environment. The ideal candidate will be calm, reliable, and confident in supporting individuals with potential behaviors of concern.
Key Details:
Staff Ratio: 2:1 (always supported by a team member)
Environment: Purposely-modified home, designed for participants with challenging behaviors
Training Provided:
Comprehensive 3-week training calendar involving Behavior De-Escalation, BSP, OT , Speech Therapist
Multiple buddy shifts prior to commencement
Regular team meetings
Roster: Fixed permanent roster with up to full-time hours available - Days & Afternoon shifts
Support Needs: Support a young female participant with daily living tasks, behavior support, and community engagement
About You
You are a compassionate and proactive support worker who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about delivering consistent, high-quality care. You understand the importance of clear boundaries, structure, and therapeutic approaches.
You will need:
Experience working with individuals with complex support needs
A calm and professional approach to behaviors of concern
Ability to follow positive behavior support strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Mandatory Requirements:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (willing to obtain)
Current Working with Children check (willing to obtain)
Current Police Check (willing to obtain)
First Aid & CPR Certification
Current Driver’s Licence
Relevant qualifications in Disability Support or related field (desirable)
