The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our bar and beverage service. This hands-on role requires excellent leadership, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage a small team while ensuring smooth and efficient bar operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Recruit, roster, train, and supervise bar staff and volunteers.

Ensure responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and compliance with licensing regulations.

Oversee stock control, ordering, deliveries, and inventory management.

Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards of the bar area.

Work closely with the Club Committee and Function Coordinators to deliver successful events and functions.

Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and patrons.

Handle cash, EFTPOS, and reconciliations accurately.

Contribute to the ongoing development of the bar offering (drinks menu, promotions, and events).

Skills and Experience

Previous bar management or supervisory experience, ideally in a club, pub, or hospitality environment.

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Good organisational and time management abilities.

Sound knowledge of bar operations, stock control, and cash handling.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
