Sous Chef / Senior CDP Wanted – Join Our Culinary Team

Thyme @ The Vinyard, Hervey Bay’s premier fine dining destination, is seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative kitchen and has the leadership skills to support our Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with the Head Chef to execute an innovative, high-end menu.

Lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring smooth service.

Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

Oversee kitchen operations, including stock management, prep, and service flow.

Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards.

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Senior Chef de Partie.

Passion for modern, high-end cuisine.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
