About the role
You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the provision of learning support services to disabled students and academic staff. You will develop, deliver, and maintain appropriate programs to support student learning skills development and provide expertise to influence the policies, and procedures relevant to the Learning and Academic Skills Success team.
You will:
- provide individual and group academic learning support to students with a disability to support their transition to tertiary learning;
- contribute technical expertise to the design and delivery of education programs and resources that address identified learning support needs of disabled students;
- contribute to the development of students' academic literacy through the delivery of educational programs and resources; and
- contribute to the coordination and ongoing development, promotion, evaluation, and reporting of LASS programs and services.
About you
Reporting to the Manager, Learning and Academic Skills Success, you will possess demonstrated knowledge of learning and teaching processes and experience supporting students with a disability.
You will possess demonstrated ability to:
- assess and respond appropriately to the academic learning needs of students;
- deliver professional and quality learning skills service that enhances the student learning experience;
- facilitate the development of organisational practices including educational programs and workshops supporting staff and students; and
- work independently and as a contributing member of a team.
