This role is instrumental in helping our organisation ensure that all communities see themselves reflected in our work, feel welcome in our spaces and have opportunities to engage meaningfully to our Library.
As our Multicultural and Community Engagement Lead, you will be key to designing, delivering and engaging culturally responsive programs that connect multicultural and diverse communities to the Library’s programs and services.
Your strong communication and engagement skills will build trusted partnerships with community groups and government agencies and stakeholders to devise and deliver programs and campaigns that target multicultural and under-represented communities to improve access to Library services for the diverse NSW community.
About you
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic and proactive professional with experience in a similar role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage authentically across diverse community groups
Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for working with multicultural and under-represented communities
Experience in collaborating, communicating and building relationships with a range of groups from diverse backgrounds and communities
Experience in developing and delivering programs and strategies, to diverse stakeholders and communities
Experience and ability to work with autonomy in delivering projects and make decisions regarding program implementation and research post implementation
The ability to work weekends and some evenings to attend events and travel to regional and metropolitan areas with occasional overnight stays.
