About Us

Dymocks Education, operating under the Dymocks Tutoring and Talent 100 brands, is part of the iconic 145-year-old Dymocks Group. We aim to be a market leader not only in school tutoring services but also in academic communities, extracurricular programs, and educational innovation.

This is a rare opportunity to be the founding leader of our online student community: a platform designed to support, connect and inspire high school students across NSW. If you’re passionate about education, content, and community building, this is your chance to shape something that matters.

About the Role

The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for launching, growing, and managing Dymocks Education’s new online student community for Years 9 - 12. This platform will be the first point of connection for thousands of students, offering academic value, peer-to-peer engagement, and a powerful brand experience.

In this role, you’ll be building community and fostering meaningful engagement through leading student interaction, content creation, live sessions, and discussion, all while driving engagement and growth. You’ll also be responsible for recruiting and managing moderators, creating educational content, and working with our marketing and academic teams to bring the Dymocks brand to life in a fun and friendly way.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Launching and growing a high-impact online student community

Creating and publishing educational and engaging content (video & written)

Hosting live events (Q&As, study sessions, webinars) to drive student participation

Managing a team of academic moderators and content contributors

Monitoring student engagement and responding to trends and feedback

Acting as the face of Dymocks Education within the community

Driving cross-sell into tutoring, study guides, and memberships

Reporting to the Head of Marketing

What We’re Looking For:

Demonstrated strong academic performance, with an ATAR of 85+ and Band 6 in English and Maths (or equivalent)

Proven ability to create highly engaging and educational content in both video and written formats

Strong written and video content creation skills

Experience managing and leveraging social media platforms such as Instagram, Discord, YouTube, or similar

A genuine passion for community engagement, youth audiences, and education

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A current Working with Children Check (or a willingness to obtain one)

Desirable:

Experience in tutoring or educational content

Experience leading online communities or moderators

Academic strength in other HSC subjects

Location:

This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Chatswood hub, conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Chatswood Station.

Hours and Remuneration:

This position offers a competitive salary package of $60,000 - $80,000 (including super), plus a 5% commission on sales conversions.

You will be working on a full time basis from Monday to Friday during business operating hours, with flexibility around live community sessions and events.

The business operates during school terms on the same hours as it does in term. Leave is generally limited to school holidays and there is a 3 week mandatory shut-down over Christmas. Hours and days will be discussed in further application stages.

Right to Work in Australia:

You must have the right to work in Australia and provide evidence of this to us.

Applications:

Whilst we would love to chat with all applicants we simply do not have time with the number of applicants we receive. Accordingly, DO NOT call to discuss your application. You will receive contact through our recruitment process.
