The Association currently operates four schools in southern Tasmania. Each school has a Principal who is responsible for the educational leadership and management of the school.
A Board of Directors, through the CEO, governs the affairs of Christian Schools Tasmania. The Board is committed to operating in ways that utilise the strengths of being one Association, whilst recognising that each school in unique, and is led by the Principal appointed to that school. The Board expresses this commitment by establishing overarching guidelines or policies that guide the operational leadership of the Executive members.
About the Role
The role of the Administration Officer includes:
Front office management, including telephone and counter enquiries and EFT payments, and processing of incoming and outgoing mail for the office.
General office duties, including purchasing office supplies, maintaining equipment, maintaining filing and archiving, and maintaining a tidy and welcoming reception area.
Management of petty cash for the schools and office, including regular reconciliation and reimbursement.
Banking of cash and cheque receipts and preparation of weekly / monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
Timely processing of invoices and creditor adjustments, including review and reconciliation of supporting documentation and budget allocations.
Assisting and liaising with schools in their administration responsibilities.
Respond to family correspondence and account enquiries, processing of debtor receipts including EFT, direct debit, credit card and Centrepay transactions, and review and reconciliation of family accounts and receipts.
Provide support for governance functions, including to assist with support for the Board and Board meetings, and CST Association membership and member meetings.
Undertake ad hoc research and reporting to support business or educational initiatives from time to time.
This is a part-time to full-time position for 30.4 - 38 hours per week (4 - 5 days).

About you
The Administration Officer will:

Essential Criteria
Proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Capacity for efficient and accurate data entry from documents.
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel, advanced skill in Microsoft Word, and a high level of keyboard skills.
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
