DATLAS is a dynamic construction company delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across Sydney. We are seeking an Estimator to join our team.

This role is suited to both experienced estimators and recent construction graduates who are keen to build their career in estimating. You will work closely with directors, project managers, and site teams to prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and budgets, supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing cost estimates and competitive tenders for residential and commercial projects

Conduct quantity take-offs and review subcontractor and supplier quotes

Support budget preparation and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain accurate records of cost data and supplier pricing.

Contribute to risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure alignment between budget and delivery.

Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and industry standards

About You:

For graduates: recently completed or near completion of a degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field

For experienced candidates: 2–5 years of estimating experience in the construction industry

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., BuildSoft, Cubit, Procore, or similar) is highly regarded

Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail

Strong communication and negotiation abilities

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
