Incolink is a joint enterprise of employer associations and industry unions in the Victorian, Tasmanian, South Australian and NSW commercial construction industry.

The role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide Incolink workers and employer members, and Women in Construction access to employment and training support. Working as a liaison between workers, employers and industry associations, the Training and Career Advisor will provide pathways to employment and career development or career shift opportunities.
Responsibilities
Actively manage the ongoing positive relationships with workers and employers by:
Developing and maintaining knowledge of construction industry training courses, systems and providers, including subsidies available to assist workers to become "job ready".
Supporting the “Women in Construction” program: assist, support and advise women on construction career pathways, and support them on their career journey.
Working with industry and employers to identify vacancies and help them recruit via the online job portal.
Providing individual case management support for high-needs members seeking employment and refer members into other Incolink support services.
Developing and maintaining relationships with industry training providers to understand current training opportunities and subsidies available; and with unions, employers, employer associations and other relevant stakeholders to assist in placing candidates in roles.
Providing reports and data as requested.
Attending industry expos and events are required.
Skills / Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications in employment services, or related discipline
Demonstrated experience gained in providing training services and knowledge of RTO and TAFE sector
Proven ability to positively influence job seekers
Well-developed interpersonal, communication and interviewing skills
Strong administration skills and ability to work in a team
Good computer literacy
Knowledge or ability to acquire understanding, of industry training courses, systems and training providers that relate to the building industry
Experience in delivering services using a digital platform
Knowledge of construction industry employment trends, building activities, job classifications and on-site training requirements.
Current licence to drive a motor vehicle.
