Senior Governance Officer

We're seeking an experienced Senior Governance Officer to lead key compliance and governance functions across our local government client. This pivotal role ensures statutory obligations are met, oversees major governance projects, and leads a team of Governance Officers to support best-practice governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client's delegations, Code of Conduct, and compliance frameworks
  
• Lead governance-related projects and cross-functional initiatives
  
• Provide expert advice on GIPA, PIPP and other legislation
  
• Oversee governance policies, registers, databases, and reporting
  
• Deliver organisation-wide training and drive continuous improvement
  
  About You:

• National Police Check
  
• Degree in business, policy, or a related field
  
• 5+ years' governance experience, ideally in local government
  
• Strong legislative knowledge and ability to apply governance best practices
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
