Complete Staff Solutions are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Officer to join our Governance team on a maternity leave contract for approximately 12 months.
Ideally working Monday to Thursday, you will work between 21 and 28 hours per week administering and managing Council’s community land portfolio. This includes preparing leases, licences and contracts, undertaking property research, and providing expert advice on tenure and public land management matters.
You will work closely with internal teams, community tenants, lessees and other stakeholders to ensure our property governance, compliance and service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Administer Council’s community property portfolio and leasing arrangements.
Conduct property research and provide advice on Native Title and public land management.
Draft leases, licences, policies, management plans and reports.
Coordinate stakeholder meetings, maintain registers and monitor compliance.
Support governance processes and contribute to policy development.
Monitor budgets, provide financial reports and ensure works align with resource allocations.
Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You will have:
Demonstrated relevant experience in the property industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of the application of the Local Government Act in relation to public land management and leasing.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-level customer service.
Proven ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications and other corporate software.
Proven high-level communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated well-developed analytical skills.
Class C driver’s licence.
Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of equal employment opportunity and work health and safety, with the ability to apply them to workplace practices.
Highly Regarded
Knowledge of Crown Land Management Act, Native Title Act, Aboriginal Land Rights Act.
Negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Experience in property management, lease/licence negotiations, and budget monitoring.
Willingness to complete Native Title Manager training.
