We are currently seeking an experienced National Return to Work Coordinator to be based in r Victorian. This is a key role in ensuring APS Group continues to meet its obligations in injury management, workers’ compensation, and return to work functions across our national operations.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, the Return to Work Coordinator will provide expert guidance, coordination, and support to managers and employees throughout the workers’ compensation and return to work process. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring APS Group meets all legislative requirements while supporting employees to achieve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of injury management, workers’ compensation, and return to work functions across APS Group.
Provide accurate and timely advice to managers on legislative obligations and best practice return to work strategies.
Monitor and report on workers’ compensation claims, ensuring documentation is submitted within legislative timeframes.
Liaise with injured employees, treating practitioners, insurers, payroll, and internal managers to achieve positive outcomes.
Deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to managers and supervisors to strengthen APS Group’s injury management and return to work capability.
Contribute to audit, assurance, and accreditation activities in line with APS Group’s continuous improvement initiatives.
Support incident investigations, trend analysis, and the development of corrective action plans.
Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes and proactively implement required adjustments.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in workers’ compensation, injury management, and return to work coordination.
Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation and return to work legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise managers at all levels.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to injury management and workplace health and safety.
